At the Daytona International Speedway in February 2010, Hot Wheels® announced a return to NASCAR through a unique partnership with JR Motorsports racing team and its race car driver, Danica Patrick. Throughout the 2010 Nationwide Series season, Hot Wheels® was seen on Patrick’s #7 racecar and on corresponding race gear. At the Michigan International Speedway, Patrick debuted a new "Designed by Hot Wheels" paint scheme for the #7 Chevrolet that she would drive at the CARFAX 250 race. With the ultimate speed makeover, Patrick’s racecar featured an entirely new custom paint scheme featuring the iconic Hot Wheels® red and orange flames known throughout the world.
